Two years after Timbaland’s song lyrics dominated radio with its massive hit transition Shock Value, rapper-producer is great to go back for more. Unfortunately, his latest efforts come short.
If this project was on radar, you’has probably already heard promo singles, most significant of which is Tim’s ill-fateful partnership with Miley Cyrus.”We Belong To The Music”is absurd from beginning to end, but becomes especially eye-rolling, once rural Cyrus will call the”Mr. DJ”to”Turn it up.”And thanks to the effects used on Miley’s vocals can’I simply swapped the track with the song Hamster Dance, and nobody would have noticed it.
Some of these horror will be removed quite hot right talent joint featuring pop singer Katy Perry,”If We Ever Meet Again.”It’s solid, but blunt object holds the equivalent to the sum of its parts.
The”Carry Out,”Timbaland reteams go with Guy-Justin Timberlake. It’s obvious that both sides are comfortable in this zone, and production is limited. Too bad that the track is destroyed unforgivable silly series of food-sex metaphors. It’s such a joke that we have waited for that Andy Samberg is to show with your d *** in a Happy Meal box.
“Lose Control”(feat. Jojo), is catchy, but as he plays the notorious”heeeey”loop at this point? Pass.
Singer Brandy has rechristened itself Bran’Nu, and shows the”Meeting in the Middle.”It’tale of two lovers is learning to compromise, it is not so bad, but it’ll forget that a few tracks later .
“Say Something,”featuring Drake drama is another relationship song. The amplifier, which is a little, but when you roll around’ll be ready to jump you’re looking really hot tracks.
Things finally take off the album’s mid-point with a few club-ready jams.”Morning After Dark” is one of the few co Shock Value II, which they feel fully implemented. It’s hottest entire lot.”Can You Feel It”(feat Esther & Sebastian), is also dancable, but not so rich.
If you have’think it would be more”Apologize”cooperation between pop rock here, think again.”Tomorrow in the bottle,”line of Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger-guitarist and rapper Sebastian (Tim’s little bro) sounds like a remix of the population. Daughtry’s”Long Way Down”has potential, but it’a lack of involvement in the production – It’s too safe.
The closest we come to a new crossover hit rock comes back from OneRepublic.”He Marchini”is a live hand-clapper that you want the rest of the record had so much life. A less vivid but more emotional”Undertow,’reinforced with a fine piano-rockers The Fray and trip-hop artist Esther is certainly a place for some.
Zatváranie drug production is on an album”The One I Love”(feat Keri Hilson & DOE) and Symphony (feat Attitude, Bran’Nu & DOE), but ich pôsobivosť len brief drives home than in the contrary the project is celok.
At the end of the most striking things for Shock Value II, is that I’t turn out better put all the talent. There are some hot tracks here – we’d probably cherry-pick a half-dozen of them from iTunes – but the album itself is a mess.
